Conservation Programs
Conservation

The community of Ashland, its residents and businesses, are dedicated to conservation programs. This is evident in the work of both the City of Ashland’s Conservation Commission and the Ashland Chamber of Commerce’s Green/Best Practices Committee. Both entities address important issues related to sustainable and more energy efficient business practices.

Through the City’s Conservation Division, businesses can find resources on energy saving tips, water saving tips and even financial incentive programs depending upon the type of business. For example, businesses that provide lodging services have affordable access to low-impact shower heads, or restaurants with kitchen equipment have access to rebates for energy efficient equipment through the City.

Rebate and assistance programs for businesses are also available through Avista Utilities Natural Gas. Avista offers rebates and incentives but also a vast number of tools to help you make the decision that is best for your business.  Click here for a complete list of rebates and incentives.

Ashland Chamber member Caldera Brewing Company built a large brewery and restaurant opening in 2013.  For information about the energy efficient measures they took, click here.
