Dr. Joanne Noone has over twenty-five years of experience teaching in undergraduate and graduate nursing. She is currently the Campus Associate Dean at Oregon Health & Science University School of Nursing - Ashland campus. She received her PhD in Nursing from University of Hawaii in 2003. She is certified in nursing education by the National League for Nursing. Dr. Noone’s program of research centers on health disparities. She is currently on the Steering Committee of SO Health-E, a Regional Health Equity Coalition in Jackson County funded by Oregon Health Authority. The purpose of this coalition is to prioritize regional health disparities and advance policies that promote equity and address social determinants of health. Dr. Noone is a member of Jackson County Public Health Advisory Board, the Oregon Nurses Association Cabinet on Nursing Education and she is the Governor Representative for Nursing Education of the Western Institute for Nursing.
