The mission of the Oregon Employment Department is to support business and promote employment. The Workforce and Economic Research Division of the Oregon Employment Department serves customers in a multitude of ways: contractual commitments, responses to individual information requests, presentations, publications, and through our website focused on Oregon’s industry employment trends, labor force or unemployment statistics, the general economy, as well as the Employment Department’s services and products. Occupational data is often in demand, as customers inquired about wages and growth outlooks for different careers. Because we produce information and analysis for the state as a whole and for all regions and counties of the state, our customers are spread all across Oregon, and we have staff to serve those needs located in many parts of the state.
