Google Celebrates the Ashland Business Community
Senator Wyden Present eCity Award to Mayor Stromberg
Ashland Named Oregon’s eCity
for Second Consecutive Year
Google is excited to announce that Ashland has been named the 2014 eCity for Oregon. This is the second consecutive year that Ashland has been named Oregon’s eCity. Ashland continues to have the strongest online business community in Oregon, making it one of the digital capitals of America. Ashland’s businesses have embraced the web to find new customers, connect with existing clients and fuel its local economy. Ashland and all 50 “e-Cities” across the United States are great examples of what business communities can accomplish by embracing the web. Ashland is one of only 7 repeat cities.
The presentation at Noble Coffee Roasters was attended by representatives from Google, U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, State Representative Peter Buckley, Ashland Mayor John Stromberg, City Counselor Mike Morris, and Ashland Chamber of Commerce President Cindy Bernard along with a room full of Chamber members and others celebrating the award.
